Denise Ciastko has made significant contributions to native plant landscaping and restoration in New England. Starting with the first solely native plant nursery in Connecticut in 1994,
Denise’s work has focused on preserving the natural heritage of the region through initiatives such as the restoration of two acres of upland beach grass at Lynde Point in Old Saybrook, CT, and creating native wildflower water features and rain gardens throughout Connecticut.
She has received numerous awards, including Best Naturalistic Garden, Best Environmentally Sensitive Garden, and the “Exhibit of Special Merit and Educational Value” from The Connecticut Horticultural Society.
Today, Denise Ciastko continues her mission to promote native plants and support pollinators through her company, NativearthSeed LLC. With the immense focus on native pollinator seeds, NativearthSeed LLC helps gardeners create beautiful, ecologically valuable gardens that support local wildlife.
