I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD) with a private practice based in San Diego, California.
My psychotherapy practice is a collaborative process to help you understand and adapt to challenging life events, improve relationships, and achieve personal goals. In more than 35 years as a board certified psychotherapist, I have helped people of diverse backgrounds overcome a wide range of problems and emotional concerns.
My approach is insight-oriented, with focused strategies from psychodynamic attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems and child and adolescent development, and self-compassion meditation for managing distress and understanding psychological issues. Most clients find that therapy offers them opportunities for personal awareness and change beyond their initial problems and symptoms.
Therapy is confidential, respectful, and interactive. I always welcome questions and feedback as we work together to achieve meaningful and successful progress.
