(Universal) is a nationally accredited professional services firm with comprehensively broad expertise in construction materials testing, special inspections, support engineering, and geotechnical/ environmental services and drilling. Since our inception, Universal has firmly established itself as an industry leader and has evolved into one of the largest full-service regional providers of professional, technical services to a broad base of clients and projects ranging from small straightforward projects to multi-billion-dollar complex programs.
After establishing a solid corporate history that spans nearly 30 years, we are no longer just the construction materials testing lab that forged our outstanding reputation and trusted name. We have expanded our services and capabilities over the decades, building expertise to fit broader markets and industries. Our firm brings a multi-disciplinary proactive approach to the complex challenges of our clients. Our expertise is complemented and supported by one of the largest comprehensive private construction materials testing laboratories in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, United States.
Our staff of more than 100 people is comprised of Professional Engineers, Registered Architects, Civil/ Mechanical/ Structural/ Environmental Engineers, Special Inspectors, CMT Technicians, and Drillers. Our technical personnel is crossed-trained and multi-disciplined in various construction inspection, materials testing, and engineering procedures. Depth in personnel and their broad range of skill and experience gives us the ability to serve projects promptly and efficiently with backend support by having state-of-the-art equipment, a fleet of vehicles, and by a well-experienced management and administration staff.
