The purpose of the building code institute seminars is to help the design community understand and apply the codes and standards required for safe building design
Without a proper understanding of the codes enforced by fire marshals and building officials, it is impossible for the design community to properly design safe buildings. It is with this understanding that the building code institute was founded.
The primary focus of the institute is on the life safety aspects of the codes and standards enforced in the various jurisdictions. There is no one book that has all of the requirements necessary to protect life and property.
The institute seminars attempt to provide the connections between the various codes and standards enforced in a jurisdiction necessary to allow the design professional to understand the complete picture for research of the various issues for his project.
