TARA CHURCH OF CHRIST
Almost 2000 years ago Christ promised to build his church. When Peter confessed Jesus as “the Christ, the Son of the living God”, the Lord said, “Upon this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it”. (Matthew 16:18) His promise was fulfilled on the first day of Pentecost, only a few days after his resurrection. (Acts 2:47) Before the end of the first-century churches of Christ had been established throughout the world so that an apostle could write to the church at Rome, “the churches of Christ greet you”. (Romans 16:16) In this 21st century churches of Christ are found throughout the world. The Tara church of Christ is one of them. We meet for worship on Highway 138 in Jonesboro, Georgia, just west of I 75. Our building is easy to find, so you are invited to visit with us whenever the opportunity comes. You will find a friendly church with a vital message for today.
We are striving to be the same church in all matters of faith and practice that Christ intended.
