P.O.L. Fire Company 2 was established in 1922, after parting ways with what is now known as Lincoln Park Hose Company No. 2. Originally the group combined to form what was known as a “Property Owners League”. The P.O.L. was somewhat of a Social Club. Seeing the need for fire protection in the area, which actually covered the lower end of Wayne (Mt. View), and Lincoln Park, they split into two individual fire companies.
