Jose R. Pena MD born and raised in San Juan Puerto Rico. He went to school at Universidad Central Del Caribe. He then went to New York to complete his residency and Geriatrics Subspecialty. He stayed working in New York for 7 years and during that time he designed multiple novel geriatrics programs that allowed him to become a distinguished leader in the community and a pioneer in the field of geriatrics. He then proceeded to San Diego CA. to start his own practice in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He has been here for the last 19 years and he has also become a leader in healthcare in the South Bay of San Diego and he has earned innumerable honors and awards.
