I am originally from LaFollette, TN and graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1978. After graduating, I went on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ at Illinois State University, then on to seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where I earned a MDiv., majoring in philosophy, and, finally, on to North Texas State University, earning a MEd. in counseling.

I’ve been in Knoxville since 1989. My passion has been, since around 5 years old, to discover what makes relationships work. What set the course for my life was the strained and broken relationships that troubled my parents long before I was born and continued throughout my 17 years living with them. My quest to understand relationships drives me to this day.
