HUNTER HAYES
Hunter Hayes is a seven time Emmy Award winning Singer, Composer and Saxophone Player . Born in Montclair, New Jersey and raised in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. At 15 years old, a minister gave Hunter an old silver C Melody Saxophone which he taught himself to play by ear. In only one year Hunter was making money playing at parties with his neighborhood band. Four years later, Hunter joined the group “Hot Line”, which got him signed to “De-Lite Records along with “Kool & The Gang”, GQ, & The Kay-Gees. They Recorded “Who’s Gonna Take the Weight” “The Bump” and “Juice It Up”. Hunter left De-Lite in 1976″ and went back to his roots in the church.
By the mid 1980’s Hunter was signed to Island Records as a Solo artist. He released Two top 20 club songs. “Are You Wid It” and “This Time”. Hunter had many appearances in various places; The world famous “Apollo” theater, the “Paradise Garage” In NY City ,The Mecca Of House Music and literally brought the house down live onstage” with his Powerful vocals and Saxophone. In 1990 Hunter was hired as the “House Band” for three years at The “Peppermint Lounge” in Orange New Jersey. During that time he got noticed and signed to a record deal with Columbia Records that’s when Hunter decided to handle His own career and wrote his own songs. In 1996/97 Hunter put his writing skills to work and Composed the theme songs for the state of New Jersey called ”New Jersey Song” which is Also The theme music for the “Jimmy Buff” hot dog chain and finally for a TV show called “DUE PROCESS” with hosts :, Sandra King and Raymond Brown of which he received 7 Emmy Awards for and still airs twice a week on NJN/PBS television. Hunter realized he could record his voice and Sax on his own record label. .His first solo project CD was called; “It’s A Wonderful Life” On iTunes , Amazon & Tune Core. His #1 Song is called “Spanish Love Song”, which Streamed over 200,000 downloads!
