DANBURY ATHLETIC YOUTH ORGANIZATION
The Danbury Athletic Youth Organization (DAYO) is a Non-Profit organization formed in 1978 to promote organized youth sports and build character in the youth of the Danbury area. DAYO’s commitment is to provide the best possible guidance for our children in order that, together, we build a better place to live. We do this by communicating to our children through sports so that some day they can pass along those same lessons to their children. Over 1400 children in the Danbury area participate in DAYO programs which are all run by our volunteers – the coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, Bingo staff, commissioners, Officers of the Executive Board, and all the other people who help DAYO. The programs are primarily funded through a weekly BINGO run by the organization and fund raisers by the team players. DAYO offers athletic programs for children ages three through eighteen. During the years a youngster is involved with our programs, he or she will grow both physically and intellectually. During these formative years, we are proud to offer support to the growth of these young people who will be leaders of tomorrow.
