Public Facilities
A branch of the Latah County Library is located on Main Street. The city park has a softball / t-ball field, a covered picnic area, and several playground areas. An ample parking lot allows bikers to hit the Latah Trail or play tennis at the park. Troy’s reader board keeps residents up-to-date on community events.

According to the 2010 census Troy has 862 residents.
School classes average about 25 students per class.
Climate
Four-seasons climate. Winters can be trying…many people have 4-wheelers to plow themselves out! Most learn to enjoy the snow with snowmobiles. Summers are very pleasant with temperatures ranging from 65 to 85 usually.

Farming, ranching, and timber are major contributors to Troy’s economy. The town’s support economy includes a bank, grocery store, medical clinic, several bar & grills, an espresso cafe, and a traditional American cafe. A local farm chemical company is stationed near downtown, there are a gas station and convenience store, an Internet gift and flower company, a coffee bean roaster, a children’s resale clothing store, a flower shop, and several manufacturing businesses…a cedar fence post mill makes its home downtown Troy.
