The backbone of 6D herd was purchased from Bob Ross at R&R farms. They came from the hard work and a discipline embryo transfer program established 7 years ago. The cattle were selected for not only breed leading EPD’s and Carcass traits but toughness and survivability as well. These Hereford and Angus cows are low maintenance, functional, efficient cattle, with great phenotype. The cattle produced here, work for us and our customers not vice-versa. With a strict breeding philosophy the cattle here at 6D not only have the toughness and look that commercial cattleman need they also have the strongest carcass traits around. We have made great progress in getting these cattle to scan as solid as Angus and the proof is in their EPD’s and ultrasound data. Nearly 95% of the bulls that are sold privately end up servicing commercial cows in the low deserts of Nevada and high deserts of southern Oregon.
