AMARECH HAILE CANCER FOUNDATION
Amarech Haile Foundation is a tax exempt, non-profit humanitarian organization created in Arizona, USA, June 2010 to assist patients with cancer and their families in Ethiopia.
President and founder, Dr. Engida Alemu, has lost his beloved mother through cancer and realized the importance of establishing this foundation.
It is estimated that Ethiopia has a population of about 80 million.Trained health man power and health facilites are inadequate.
Specialists in cancer and services related to cancer are non-existent. Millions of citizens die from cancer without getting proper services.
This foundation has been formed with the aim to support cancer patients financially,socially and emotionally.
We are a team of dedicated philanthropic individualls who believe in improving care to cancer patients and their families. It is our hope that this foundation will bring hope and dignity to all Ethiopian cancer patients.
