Shoemaker Funeral Home

Shoemaker Funeral Home & Monuments is a family owned and operated 3rd generation funeral home with over three decades of serving families in the monument business. Shoemaker Funeral Home & Monuments was originally Hunter Funeral Home prior to 1951. Richard K. and Dorothy J. Shoemaker purchased the funeral home in 1951. In 1953, at the age of 31, Richard K. passed away.
From 1953 to 1973, Dorothy J. ran the funeral home under a widow’s license. In 1973 Richard L. and Willa E. took over the ownership of the funeral home until the present. In September 2002, Richard K. Shoemaker II became a licensed funeral director and is now an integral part of our monument business and corporation. His wife, Meghan, is also a licensed funeral director and is an important part of our family business.
Through the years we have continued to update our facilities inside and out to better serve our changing community. In your time of loss we hope we can be of service and comfort to you and your family. Please call us anytime.
