Mission Statement
Collegiate Crossings ensures all students have access to higher education by providing support and resources to successfully navigate the postsecondary planning, application, and financing processes.
Beginnings
After raising three daughters and seeing them through the high school and college years, in 2012, the McClure family saw a need and had a desire to help students achieve their educational goals. Bringing with her years of work in the nonprofit sector, Executive Director, Carey, founded Collegiate Crossings as a resource to families of all socioeconomic backgrounds to help their students make postsecondary education a reality. Since then, her husband Andy has come on board as Development Director, offering his expertise in fundraising and public events.
Our Vision
We believe that education transforms lives. When students are empowered with the tools and skills they need to make a difference in the world around them, cycles of poverty and hardship can be broken. It’s our vision and hope that through access to education young people can believe in themselves and contribute to their communities, regardless of where they come from. At Collegiate Crossings, we strive to be a heartening and dignifying voice to all students and walk alongside them as they write their own story.
Who We Serve
If you consider yourself a student or prospective student, then we are here for you. Naturally, the vast majority of our students are between 9th and 12th grade and are currently in high school. However, we believe it’s never too early or too late to begin dreaming of further education. Do not let your age or life circumstances hinder you from doing what you have always wanted to do!
