What We Do
We give people dignity and encouragement by providing, free of charge, the clothing they need to succeed in work, school and life.
We Receive Donated Clothing
We gratefully receive your donated, gently used clothing and bedding as well as personal care items. Donated items can be dropped off at our facility at 540 Greenbrae Drive on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. Donated items are given, free of charge to low income individuals and families in our community.
Volunteers Sort & Inspect Clothing
Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet has a dedicated team of volunteers that sort and inspect each article of clothing and bedding that we receive. We make sure that everything is in good repair and promotes the dignity and worth of the person who will eventually receive it.
Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet Store
Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet operates a clean, inviting store where those in need can shop for the clothes they need free of charge. The store has clothes, shoes and bedding for men, women and children.
Outreach Events
We know that sometimes the people who need help the most struggle to get to the Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet Store. That is why we host outreach events where we take clothes to communities in need such as at the
Women’s and Children’s Center of the Sierras
Disaster Assitance
Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet provides clothes to those who have experienced disasters such as those living in communities destroyed by wildfires.
Elementary Schools
Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet takes clothes to Elementary Schools in low income areas so kids can get the clothes they need to succeed in school.
