POQUONOCK COMMUNITY CHURCH

We believe that faith in God and a relationship with Jesus Christ is basic to everything, including the abundant life. As a result, we emphasize how God can be a powerful, healing force in day to day living. Within the framework of trust in Christ as Lord and Savior, we accept and value different viewpoints.
We are a member of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference.
FAMILY MINISTRY
There is a commitment among us to help families grow in caring and the discovery of Christian principles for life. This spirit pervades our Church and the many activities that bring children and adults together.
OUR HERITAGE
We began a tradition of serving God and the people of this area in 1841 as the Poquonock Congregational Church. In 1924 we added “community” to our name to show our desire to reach out to all the people around us. After our original meeting house was destroyed by a tornado in 1979, we built a new sanctuary and fellowship hall. Our ministry continues over 180 years with vitality and vision.
