About Ventura County Adult Day Health Care (ADHC)
Ventura County Adult Day Health Care is a community-based program providing a variety of medical, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and recreational programs and services for adults 18 years and older. We provide a safe and secure environment for adults to spend time under the caring supervision of experienced staff.
Participants receive skilled nursing care, social services, therapeutic activities, meals (breakfast and lunch), and transportation. Physical, occupational, as speech therapies are available, as well as dietary and psychiatric consultation.
The main goal of our program is to maintain, and/or improve the quality of life. Research has shown that participants who receive adult day health care services have fewer admits into emergency rooms, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. Participants who attend regularly are more stimulated and are monitored and supervised creating a safer and happier environment for each individual.
