Andrew B Ballard, AIA, FOUNDER
As a classically-trained architect and highly experienced designer of decorative interiors, Mr. Ballard has served as lead architect and design partner on an extensive number of versatile projects from comprehensive apartment renovations to country estates, casual beach houses and equestrian farms to new coastal communities and several private resorts. He has worked extensively with Manhattan’s premiere building cooperatives, within environmentally sensitive coastal settings, expansive agricultural lands, planned towns and beachside resorts. Mr. Ballard’s professional work experience over the past thirty-five years has included comprehensive architectural, land planning, interior design and project management in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, the Caribbean, and Europe. Stylistically informed by history, the focus of his work continues to be the integration of both the architecture and decorative furnishings at the highest level of design and efficiency for his firm’s clients in both contemporary and traditional settings.
A few of Mr. Ballard’s recently completed projects include the architecture and decorative furnishings of a penthouse duplex on Park Avenue; a triplex in Soho; the combination of two apartments and furnishings on Central Park West; a duplex at Ten Gracie Square, along the East River; the architectural renovation, decorative furnishings, and rooftop gardens for a duplex on Greenwich Street; and the renovation of a 1924 house, gardens and accessory structures in West Palm Beach’s historic district. Over the past three and half decades, Mr. Ballard has worked with the industry’s leading artisans, builders, and consultants to create world-class projects of all scales, styles, and settings. In addition, we believe the implementation of our work is at the highest level of professional services and we pride ourselves on the speed and efficiency in which we deliver both our architectural and interior design services to our clients. Our firm’s current assignments include the architectural and decorative furnishings of a full floor apartment at The Majestic in NYC; a master plan, renovation of principal residence, and accessory buildings on a farm in Rhode Island; a triplex on Park Avenue; a second phase for a full floor apartment on Central Park South; and a combination of two apartments in a supertall on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Prior to establishing his architectural and interior design firm, Mr. Ballard was a partner and residential studio design lead at Cooper, Robertson & Partners, following an initial architectural practice in the neoclassical town of Seaside, Florida, where he both designed and constructed numerous private residences within the internationally acclaimed beachside community.
