We are a diverse mix of rural and suburban housing, multistory office buildings, strip malls, educational facilities, and about five miles of Interstate 40/85. We are a combination career & volunteer department. The career staff is complimented by volunteers living near each station responding to calls. All of our firefighters, both career and volunteer, are certified to a minimum of Firefighter II. Many are also certified Emergency Medical Technician Basics or Emergency Medical Responders.
